Skin Script Cacteen Balancing Moisturizer is a calming and healing moisturizer that is excellent for sensitive or sensitized skin.

This soothing moisturizer provides the healing properties of prickly pear cactus combined with bisabolol as an anti-inflammatory to relieve irritated or sensitized skin. It also helps maintain a healthy skin barrier by balancing surface lipids and water with humectants like sodium PCA for overall happy skin.

Key Ingredients

 

  • AquaCacteen® (Opuntia Ficus-Indica (Cactus) Stem Extract): Rich in essential amino acids, antioxidants, and water-binding polysaccharides. It hydrates, soothes, and protects from environmental stress.
  • Olivem® (Cetearyl Olivate, and Sorbitan Olivate): A combination of fatty acids able to both restore and maintain the integrity of the skin barrier.
  • Sodium PCA (NA) Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid (PCA): A component of the skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF). It is a non-irritating, non-allergenic, humectant with very potent hydrating and moisturizing power.
  • Bisabolol (L-Alpha): Acts as an anti-inflammatory, promotes wound healing, reduces sensitivity, and alleviates heat while soothing skin irritation.
  • Phenyl t-Butylnitrone (Spin Trap): A highly active oxygen/nitrogen complex, considered an “intelligent” antioxidant. Instead of destroying free radicals, it traps and transforms them into useful oxygen, and transports back into the respiratory cycle.
  • Phycocyanin: A natural blue pigment derived from Spirulina, a blue-green algae, with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
