Removing unwanted hair often requires sessions every 2-6 weeks with 3+ treatments for optimal results. A laser beam will pass through your skin to the hair follicles, inhibiting future hair growth. As the hair growth diminishes, we stretch your visits out and eventually, you will only need to come in for maintenance sessions every few months or once a year, depending on your skin and hair type.
Most people are free of unwanted hair for several months for even years. When the hair regrows, most will see noticeably less hair than before. Hairs may grow back in but often finer and lighter in color. Follow up may include additional sessions or waxing.
- Reduce the need for daily shaving, saving time and energy.
- NO more razor burns, ingrown hairs, cuts, bumps and blisters that can occur with plucking and shaving.
STAGES OF HAIR GROWTH
Your Sessions Are Schedule Based on Your Hair Growth Cycle
During the anagen phase, your hair follicle is actively growing hair. This hair visibly extrudes from the superficial layer of your skin.
During the second phase in your hair growth cycle, the hair follicle is dormant. The hair remains inside the superficial layer of your skin. However, it lies above the foundational layer of your skin.
During the final phase of the hair growth cycle, the hair is released by the hair follicle. Once the hair has been shed, a new hair begins to grow up from the base of your skin. Eventually, the growth will be so significant that the hair will extrude beyond the skin’s surface once again.
What is Gentle Hair Removal?
Gentle Hair Removal is a laser treatment targeting the hair follicles with intense laser light energy for thermal destruction, but without damaging the surrounding tissue. Laser hair removal is an advanced procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair.
During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
Although laser hair removal effectively delays hair growth for long periods of time and can be permanent, it usually doesn't result in permanent hair removal for all. What we can guarantee is that your hair will become way thinner, softer and less dense than it is now, forever. We will be honest every step of the way.
What does it feel like?
It feels like a rubber band snapping against the skin. But keep in mind that everyone’s pain tolerance is different, also our state of the art device cools the skin immediately. Compared to waxing and other forms of hair removal, it’s not so bad.
How does Gentle Hair Removal Work?
The Gentle Hair Removal laser targets the hair follicle with intense laser light energy for thermal destruction to provide permanent hair reduction over the course of a few treatments. With fast treatment times, Gentle Hair Removal delivers a more comfortable experience through its distinctive Dynamic Cooling Device™. This cooling system sprays the skin before each laser pulse with a cooling burst of cryogen over the treatment area, providing a Cooling Protection Factor over 50% greater than contact or air cooling for optimal comfort!
What Happens During Laser Hair Removal?
During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth. If you are having a large area like the back or legs treated, your treatment may take longer. it's possible to treat unwanted hair in nearly any area, except the eyelid or surrounding area. Skin with tattoos should not be treated either. Laser hair removal is less effective for hair colors that don't absorb light well: gray, red, blonde and white.
